Walmart Home Office Campus

Lean LEED CA + Green Canary Software through Shawmut Construction

  • Walmart Home Office Campus: low-rise buildings around landscaped green space and walking paths
  • Rendering of the Walmart campus green with flowering trees between office buildings

Overview

Walmart's new Home Office Campus is one of the largest mass timber construction projects in the United States — a $1 billion+ investment spanning 350 acres and 2.4 million square feet of office space. With the site located far from urban infrastructure, heavily weighted Location & Transportation credits were largely unavailable for LEED scoring. ecoREAL deployed Lean LEED CA powered by Green Canary Software through Shawmut Design and Construction, in collaboration with Gensler, to extract maximum performance from the Materials & Resources and Indoor Environmental Quality categories.
